Back Again

On July 31, I experienced for the first time in my life what happens to you when your computer's hard drive crashes and leaves you abandoned. UGGHHHH! The good news is that most of my material was backed up. The bad news is that many of my photographs and music weren't. Hopefully, between Vickie and the kids the photos and music can be recovered.

I am so pleased to be tapping away again on my computer. Having spent all morning setting things up and working through a mountain of email, I am still feeling good. It will take days, maybe months to fully collect email addresses and other lose things that were not a part of my most recent back up.

So, needless to say, my mantra is Back it up if you want to really keep it! And don't think for a moment, all you PC people, that I am backing away from being a Mac guy. No chance.

Hopefully, next week will afford the time to re-engage in some writing on the blog. Of course, I haven't been completely idle. I did draft a very rough outline for a lengthy writing project on listening to the Bible. More on that another day!

Happy for your return and grieving for your struggle. In response, I will strive to heed the warning, though as a professor of mine used to say, "a word to the wise is superfluous."

Carson I am delighted to have discovered your blog. I really enjoyed your introduction to and editing of Richardson's Principles of the Reformation. I will be back on a regular basis soaking it in.

I invite you to come by my Stoned-Campbell Disciple blog at http://stoned-campbelldisciple.blogspot.com/
