Game Day Germs
From the AP writer, Lauran Neergaard, we find news that should cause Braves Nation to tremble as we wait for the beloved Braves to enter into yet another playoff series. According to Neergaard's research, men don't wash their hands as much as women do after a visit to the bathroom. Germs are apparently everywhere in public places. And the worst place of all public places was--sad to say--Turner Field. She states, "The worst hygiene was at Atlanta's Turner Field baseball stadium, where 37 percent of men left the bathroom without washing, and 16 percent of the women did."
So now, when I go to the game, instead of worrying about Chipper's ankle or Andruw's bat or Smoltz's arm, I am going to be worrying about germs flying around the place. And I thought foul balls were the worst thing that could happen to you. So, as playoff season approaches, I will be packing the usual binoculars and ball glove. But I quess I should add some hand sanitizer and a face mask as well!

There's an old handwashing joke about a Vanderbilt fan and a UT fan who meet in the mens room at Neyland Stadium . . .
